Travel Can be a Great Fundraiser

Tired of organizing the same events...walks, runs, golf outings?  Try something new - use travel as a means of fundraising.  Let’s face it, most people travel. The Cruise Line Industry Association is estimating 23 million Americans will sail on some type of cruise (River or Ocean) during 2015.  That’s just the cruise market.  Imagine people traveling to land destinations, too!

You have the benefit of people with a common goal - to raise money to help those in need.  Harness that potential.  Organize a Group Trip with our help. By doing something as a group that you were planning on doing anyway, such as take a vacation, have a family reunion, reward people in your company or organization with incentive travel, you open up the doors for appreciable fundraising.

The various suppliers (Cruise Companies, Land Vendors, All-Inclusive Resorts) will offer discounted rates for groups. The larger the group; the larger the discount. In addition, Group Amenity Points (GAP) points are also awarded based upon the size of the group.  Again, the larger the group; the more amenity points.  GAP points can be used for donations to your organization.  If the group is large enough, private events can also be held on board or at a resort, which can also have an element of fundraising.

It’s a Win-Win for everyone.  The Traveler is getting their vacation at discounted rates with added value amenities; The Organization is raising funds and awareness, not just within your group but with your fellow travelers and it’s something fun, new and different.

If you wanted to purchase a cruise and raffle it, you could also raise appreciable funds but will need to check the raffle laws of the municipality in which the raffle tickets will be sold and/or drawing will be held.
